Refund Policy

We get it — plans change. For regularly scheduled films, refunds are available up to 6 hours before showtime. For special events where tickets are sold through an external promoter, refund terms may vary. We're always happy to help you navigate a request, but we can't guarantee that an outside promoter's policy will match ours.

When you sign in with Google: your name and email address as provided by Google.
When you purchase or reserve tickets (including as a guest): your name, email address, the film or event, showtime, number of tickets, seat selections, and a record of your payment status and any refunds.
Payment processing: Credit and debit payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number, expiry date, or CVV. Stripe handles all payment data directly.

3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to process ticket purchases and reservations, send receipts and QR code tickets by email, notify you of refunds or cancellations, allow you to manage your bookings through your account dashboard, and send account confirmation and password reset emails. We do not sell your personal information to third parties and do not use it for advertising or marketing.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data passed to them.

5. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Ticket purchase records are retained for bookkeeping and support purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us directly.

6. Your Rights (PIPEDA)
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate information, and withdraw consent and request deletion of your data. We use session cookies to keep you logged in during your visit. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted to and from our website. Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing (bcrypt). We take reasonable precautions to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Patrons are expected to behave respectfully toward staff and other guests. The Classic Theater reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person whose conduct is disruptive or inappropriate, without refund.

7. Limitation of Liability
