🥋🇨🇦 FROM OUR COMMUNITY TO THE WORLD STAGE! 🇨🇦🥋
This October, two local athletes from the Exploits Traditional Karate Dojo have the incredible honour of representing Canada at the 2026 World Traditional Karatedo Championship in Vrsar, Croatia. After years of dedication, hard work and training, they earned their place on Team Canada at a national qualifying tournament in St. John’s. Along with Sensei Michelle Critch, they’ll soon make the journey to Croatia to proudly represent our community and our country. ❤️
Opportunities like this don’t come along every day, and we’d love to help our local athletes get there!

Every donation will help with the considerable costs of travelling to Croatia and competing on the world stage. We hope you’ll join us for a fun night at the movies and show these athletes just how much their community is behind them. They’ve done the hard work to get to the World Championships. Now let’s help them get there. 🥋❤️🇨🇦
Also, effective Sunday Sept 6, we will have a beautiful print on display at the theater and will be accepting bids in a silent auction format. The print, titled "Wreck", has been generously donated by Jim Thorne and the framing donated by Hunter's Framing & Art Gallery . Thank you so much for your contribution towards this important milestone in the lives of two of our very own local athletes as they represent our little town, our Province and our wonderful country 🇨🇦 on the world stage. ❤️
